CRNAs and student registered nurse anesthetists (SRNAs) don’t have to go it alone when struggling with chemical dependency or other health crises. The SDANA Peer Assistance Committee provides support, information, and resources to nurse anesthetists faced with drug/alcohol impairment, suspicion of drug diversion, substance use disorder (SUD), adverse event support, and questions related to fitness for duty. Support is also available for coworkers, family members, friends, and others affected by the health concerns of their colleague or loved one.
